As the primary internal organizational leader, this position takes full responsibility for handling all program development/implementation, maintenance, and oversight, including effective interaction with the Board of Directors. Position Details

Enhance or further develop as needed, and ensure adherence to organization’s selection (entry and exit) criteria for families/seniorsResearch, find, and secure the adoptive families who will live in the Village, using both existing resources (eg programs currently working with the foster-care system, programs that find adoptive families for foster children, existing foster care to adoption families who wish to live in this supportive community, etc.) and any new sources discoveredResearch, find, and secure the seniors who will reside in the Village as volunteers and the adoptive families’ surrogate grand parentsSuccessfully interface with all relevant child-care/foster-care related to adoptions out of foster care, to ensure all NLV children/family service needs are met, both traditionally and non-traditionallyProactively seek out new approaches and best-practice interventions/activities for the children/familiesEffectively manage the daily program operation, including but not limited to ensuring all Village residents are receiving the services, support and direction they need, handling questions and complaints from residents, connecting residents with one another, establishing/maintaining systems for smooth community interpersonal operation (such as for conflict resolution and group meetings), and grants managementEfficiently manage the program office, including but not limited to office set-up (initial) and thereafter maintenance (supplies, machines, etc.) oversight of residents’ use of common spaces, interfacing with association management company to ensure timely handling of property issues and rent collections, record-keeping/reporting, and management of program expense accountsProvide in-house case-management for initial families in residence (until program expands sufficiently to warrant the hiring of a case-manager)Supervise program staff (once hired)Any other duties as assigned by The Board of DirectorsEducation/Experience requirements:

• Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field; Masters preferred

• Minimum of 3 years of non-profit case-management/supervisory experience preferably within the youth service or child protection/foster care systems, and

• A proven track record in program development.

Position Report/Compensation Details

This is a full-time position reporting directly to the NLV Board of Directors$38-$43K (depending on qualifications) + benefitsOffice located on the New Live Village property in Palm River, FL (south of Ybor City)
